How SpinningWheelChoice works
Every spin is powered by your browser's built-in random number generator. When you press SPIN, the wheel picks a random value and lands on the matching slice, so the outcome is genuinely unpredictable. Nothing is scripted or rigged, and there is no hidden logic steering the result.
Unless you turn on weighted odds, every slice has exactly the same chance of winning, so a wheel with four options gives each one a 25% shot. Nothing is stored on a server: your wheels, preferences, and spin streaks all live in your browser's local storage, and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings.
Popular ways to use a spinning wheel
Classroom name picking. Teachers add student names and spin to call on someone fairly, split the class into groups, or hand out a classroom job, with no room for any accusations of favoritism.
Giveaways and raffles. Add each entry to the wheel and spin to draw a winner in front of an audience. Because the pick is random and happens on screen, everyone watching can see the result is fair.
What-to-eat decisions. Load the dinner preset or add your own takeout options and let the wheel settle the "where should we eat?" debate in seconds.
Chores and household tasks. Put dishes, vacuuming, laundry, and trash on a wheel and spin for a weekly rotation, so no one has to act as the chore referee.
Team picks and turn order. Meetings, board games, and group projects all run smoother when the wheel decides who goes first, who presents, or who takes which task.
FAQ
Is it truly random?
Yes. Every spin uses your browser's built-in random number generator, which is designed to produce unpredictable results. We never influence or pre-select the outcome, unless you deliberately turn on weighted odds for a slice.
Can I save my wheel?
You can. Build a custom wheel and click Save to keep it in your browser. Saved wheels stay on your device and reload the next time you visit, with no account or signup required.
Is it free?
Completely free. There is no signup, no paywall, and no limit on how many times you spin or how many wheels you create.
How many options can I add?
A custom wheel holds anywhere from 2 up to 20 options. Each option can have its own label and color, and you can optionally give slices different weights to change their odds.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The wheel is fully responsive and works in any modern browser on phones, tablets, and desktops. Tap to spin and it scales to fit your screen.
